MECHANICAL DUST COLLECTORS |
These Collectors are simple mechanical equipments working on principle of Gravimetric Separation & used for dry particulate matter collection. They can be classified based on Inlet Flow Rate, Particle size & Collection Efficiency. |

GRIT ARRESTOR |
Simple Collector with single collecting zone. |
Mainly used for heavy particle separation. |
No limitation for Gas Flow Rate. |
Better for particle size > 100 microns. |
2. |
CYCLONE |
Gas entry to this equipment is tangential & with a higher velocity.
A Cyclone can be designed for High Volume with Low Efficiency (HVLE) and also Low Volume with High Efficiency (LVHE).
The Pressure Drop in a cyclone is directly proportionalto its collection efficiency.
We at HEATFIL desin a cyclone with 95% efficiency down to 20 micron particle size. |
3. |
MULTICLONES |
A number of small cyclones are installed with a common inlet & outlet zone.
This is specifically done to handle high volume gas with coarser particle size pollutant.
We at HEATFIL design a Multiclone with 95% efficiency down to 50 microns or 90% efficiency down to 40 microns

MULTICYCLONES |
This equipment is a modified version of Cyclone, specifically designed for high gas volumes.
Multicyclones is a combination of two or more cyclones in multiple of two with the same construction & operating principle of cyclone connected by a common Gas Inlet Duct with baffles & a common header for Gas Outlet.
Efficiency shall be same of Cyclone. |
